Goal:
To study the history, geography, economics, and government of the state of Washington
Grade Level Expectations:
3.1 Understands the location, physical characteristics, cultural characteristics
and spatial patterns of places and regions of the earths surface
3.2 Understands the interactions between humans and the environment
4.1 Understands historical chronology
4.3 Understands that there are multiple perspectives and interpretations of
historical events
4.4 Uses history to understand the present and plan for the future

Miscellaneous supplementary texts and materials
Other sources from the internet and Library
Students will:
1. Be able to locate information using a variety of sources including books,
encyclopedia, and internet
2. Write a 3-5 page research paper
3. Prepare a multimedia presentation on an event, period or individual from
WA state History
Grades:
Attendance is important for the participation portion of your grade. This cannot
be "made up."
1. 50% of the grade is participation
2. 40% completed assignments
3. 10% Multimedia presentation
